A while ago, I was thinking of getting a new TV for my Phaeton Motorhome front side. But I didn’t know how to remove the old front TV because the mount looked very complex. So I looked on the internet and found it’s not that hard.

To remove the front TV in your Phaeton Motorhome, you first need to detach it in front of the cabinet. First, you need to determine if it is attached using screws or some hardware mount, then remove it.

How To Remove Front TV In A Phaeton Motorhome?

Removing the front TV in a Phaeton Motorhome is much easier than it looks. However, it requires some muscle work, so if you think the TV is heavier for you, get a friend who can help with the heavy lifting. Let’s start.

Step 01: Unscrew The TV Front Cabinet

Most RVs come with a cabinet made for easy removal of TV. That is a straightforward process, so this doesn’t need any discussion. The problem starts when it is a closed cabinet. 

This is how you can unscrew the Phaeton Motorhome TV cabinet.

• Locate the screw and any bracket around the cabinet.
• The screw can be hidden under the side panels, so uncover the board and remove the screws.
• Don’t forget to turn off the TV and disconnect the wires.

Step 02: Pull Down The TV

This is hard because a slight mistake can break your old TV. Usually, there are four screws on the corner holding the TV. Carefully unscrew the. Hold the TV while unscrewing with one hand or take help from someone else.

Step 03: Dismantle The Cabinet

How To Install Front New TV (Flat/Tiffin) In A Phaeton Motorhome?

Installing a new TV in front of a Phaeton Motorhome is precisely the opposite of removing the one. However, some things need to be modified to fit the new TV. Pulling can be done by one person but installing requires two for safety.

Some people prefer Tiffin shaped TVs in front, and some prefer Flat TVs. Both have slightly different installation processes, so that I will discuss both below.

Step 01: Take Measurements

New TV can be tiffin type or flat and different size from the old one. Take measurements of that TV’s height, weight, and depth and put marks on a hard board that will be used for making the cabinet.

Step 02: Make a New Cabinet

Make a cabinet with exact measurements from the new TV and use the new wooden board. But you can use old brackets.

Step 03: Put The TV Inside The Cabinet

Once the cabinet is in place, install the mount, put the TV on its location, and screw it tightly. If it feels loose, then remap it.

Step 04: Do the Wiring

Connect all the necessary wires, such as a power cable, TV box if you have any, and others.

Instead, you can use solid glue and a wooden panel, stick it to the wall, and drill that instead. It would be best if you could fit in the old mount. And if you are doing it alone, always remember to always keep one hand on the TV.
