How Do You Troubleshoot and Fix Winnebago Revel’s Problems?

What should you do, in your opinion, if this problem arises? Well, we believe the best way to attack the problem is to get to the root cause of it. Once you pinpoint the cause, your goal of solving the problem is mostly done.

Problem 1: Dust Comes Out From The AC

To keep yourself safe from the hot weather outside, the AC inside the Winnebago trailer has to work properly.

When the AC draws air from outside, dust or other bad particles are carried in, which undoubtedly makes the inside environment unhealthy.

What are the causes of the Winnebago Dust Issue?

The intake port of the air conditioner is used to draw warm outdoor air in. When air enters the RV, filters inside the AC prevent harmful particles from getting in.

The Winnebago revel air conditioner filter is designed to do this job effectively. However, if the filter becomes too clogged with mushy dust, it might be unable to keep out unwanted objects.

A faulty filter is really bad for your RV. Maintaining the filter is the best approach to the solution to this issue.

On the other hand, you might need to replace the filter if it shows more signs of wear and tear.  Here are a few steps which you can do very easily.

Step 1: Unplug the AC, locate the filter, and remove it.

Step 2: Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the filter. Make sure the pressure is not too high.

Step 3: Use detergent and warm water to clean the filter.

Step 4: Now, after the filter is completely dry, reinstall the filter.

How Much Does it Cost to Fix the Issue?

The cost of removing, cleaning, and reinstalling the filter is negligible. However, if the filter needs to be replaced, then you have to bear the cost of the filter.

Problem 3: Winnebago Revel Plumbing Leaks

This is our third Common Winnebago Revel issue. Usually, leaks appear in different areas. It could be from tea fitting under the shower. Maybe the white flexible tubing is all leaking.

What is the cause of the Winnebago Plumbing Leaks issue?

Too much water pressure can be the reason for the leak. Also, a cheap pinch clamp can be the major reason for the leaking issue. The other causes include the following:

  • Corroded pipe
  • Damage to the seal
  • Clog in the system
  • Changes in the water temperature

How to fix the Winnebago Plumbing Leaks issue?

There is a brief caution before we talk about some straightforward fixes. Sometimes a small leak develops into a large leak, allowing water to enter an electrical component and potentially harm the ATS.  Below are some fixing strategies.

Simple Fix 1:

We are all aware of Winnebago’s affordability when compared to other RVs. For some of us, this is advantageous, but there are drawbacks. Winnebago Revel uses a cheap hose and pinch clamps made of pex.

Compared to vinyl, PEX is cheap. If there is a leak in the bathroom sink, you can try replacing the pinch clamp with the after-market clamps. Maybe the issue will be resolved.

Simple Fix 2:

Sometimes leaks develop in areas with excessively high water pressure, such as those close to mountains. One simple fix is to use the pressure gauge to check the pressure or to add a regulator.

How Much Does It Cost to Fix the Winnebago Plumbing Leak Issue?

Fixing the leak requires a plumber. Usually, the plumber changes depending on the issue’s severity or the leaks’ types. If the issue is minor, the average cost is between $200 and $300.

On the other hand, if the leak is on the main water line or in some area that requires a special skill set, the plumber will charge more. In addition, the replacement cost depends on the parts and other factors.

Problem 4: Winnebago Water Tank is Full, But it is Not Coming Out

Although the water tank is full, there is no pressure at any outlets. While occasionally you could see the outlets sputter, no water was dripping.

If you have this kind of Winnebago Revel water pressure issue, keep reading to find out more.

What is the cause of this issue?

There can be other causes for the scenario we have described in the previous paragraph, but the main 2 causes are described below.

  • 2019 Winnebago revel may have the filter on the pump. If this filter is somehow plugged in, it may cause this issue.
  • On the other hand, if there is no filter, it’s possible that there will be leftover debris or plastic particles from the tank’s construction. Another thing to look into is whether these components are stuck in the diaphragms, if so, then the pump won’t pressure up.

How to Fix the Winnebago Water Tank Pressure Issue?

Here below we are going to discuss a few simple fixes that may help resolve the issue. These techniques are from an experienced RV mechanic.

Simple Fix 1:

As previously stated, if the Winnebago has a filter that is clogged or if there are plastic chips stuck in the diaphragm, remove them.

The pump head might contain debris. Remove the head and clean the debris. If it is difficult for you, you may ask the dealer to look into the issue.

Simple Fix 2:

If the simple fix 1 does not work out, check the valve. The possibly stuck valve prevents water from entering the tank.

How much Does it Cost to Fix the Pressure Issue?

If the warranty covers you, the dealer will handle the issue. Fixing the issue on your own also does not cost much.

Conclusion

Just like any other car, the Winnebago revel will run into issues. It is very unlikely and frustrating if they appear while you are on a family trip.

More intriguingly, sometimes a problem is straightforward, but because you don’t know what to do, you panic, which gives the mechanic the chance to take advantage of you.

Anyway, the moral of the story is to not get yourself too excited. Most RV issues are easy to fix. As you have learned from the above discussion, we mentioned some simple fixes for the common Winnebago Revel problem.
